At some point, you’d think we would have learned our lesson. Between our amazing stockists, Etsy shop, and our very own website, we've stamped over 10,000 envelopes for this little greeting card company. You heard that right. TEN THOUSAND. And every time I sit down to stamp another batch, I think, There has to be an easier way to do this, and there probably is. But here we are.
When you run a small business, you start caring about all the little things that make a product feel like yours. The envelope stamp is one of those things.
The artwork might be printed, but a person still designed it, chose the paper, tested the prints, checked the quality, and packed the orders. I want to make things people love, and I want them to feel like a little care went into every order. But there's something satisfying about lining up the stamp, pressing it down, and seeing the logo appear each any every time.
Stamping 10,000 envelopes probably isn't the reason anyone buys a card from us, but it's one of those little things that makes this business feel like ours. So, yes, we'll probably keep stamping them. My wrist may eventually file a formal complaint, but until then, it's staying.
